We invite the community to Lima's Juneteenth 2023 Celebration. This year’s celebration will take place on June 17, 2023 from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM in the Downtown Lima Square. The Juneteenth Lima Committee and the Council for the Arts of Greater Lima will once again join the City of Lima Parks and Recreation Department and other community sponsors to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States by celebrating the joys of liberty, educate the community about our heritage, and promote positive cultural interaction. 
 
The Juneteenth Lima Celebration will be a one-day festival celebrating African American achievement and diversity in the Lima-Allen County region, featuring live music, arts, children's activities, business, health showcases, food trucks, and more. During the one-day event, the community and visitors will experience a wide variety of information and entertainment. From music entertainment to business exposure, kid's activities to a pop-up business destination, cultural art exhibits to health fairs, educational presentations and more - we've got it all.
