The improvements include sidewalks, ADA wheelchair intersection crosswalks, school zone flashers, and pedestrian signals at signalized intersections. The improvements were completed through ODOT’s Safe Routes to School Program which funded $460,000 of the $489,000 project with $29,000 coming from local funds. The school zone flashers are solar powered and will be programed to flash while students are arriving and departing from school. Drivers are reminded that the speed limit within the posted school zones throughout the City and County is 20 MPH.
