Lima— July 11, 2019 —The City of Lima Department of Public Works announces that the Street Division crews is initiating curbside pickup of tree debris starting July 11, 2019 through July 18, 2019. Residents may place tree branches and tree debris on the tree lawn or on the grass area next to the street. Please do not place limbs in the street itself.
It is the responsibility of the property owner to clear their property of damaged trees and fallen limbs. The City will not remove or retrieve tree limbs or tree debris from private property.
Residents may elect to haul debris to Wright Mulch located at 1227 East Hanthorn Road. Wright Mulch can be reached at 419-227-4240 and their hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 8am-5pm, Saturday from 8am-12pm, and closed on Sunday. They are currently accepting tree debris free of charge with no restrictions regarding the size of debris. Proof of residency is not required to utilize this service at this time.
Street Division crews are currently working to clear streets of limbs and fallen trees. Trees laying on wires cannot be removed until AEP Ohio clears their lines.
