Engine
#1 is a1999 Sutphen Deluge Pumper. It was delivered on 12/22/98 and
after inspection and testing it was accepted on 1/11/99 at a cost of
$255,678.00. It has a Detroit Diesel "Series 60" 6-cylinder
engine rated at 379 H.P. with an Allison World Transmission. It is built
on a Sutphen chassis with a 185" wheelbase and a 5-man raised roof
cab and is equipped with a 1,250 GPM Hale pump and a 500-gallon booster
tank. Engine #1 is located at Central Fire Station,

Engine
1, along with Engine 3, Engine 4, Engine 5, Engine 6 and Car 12 were
repainted the traditional “fire engine red” under the direction of
Fire Chief James A. Foust. Firefighter Ed Greeley and numerous fire
department personnel spent countless man-hours stripping, sanding,
refurbishing, painting and buffing these trucks saving the Lima Fire
Department and the City of
Lima
thousands of dollars.

Command
Car #12 is a 1996 Chevy Tahoe purchased on June 26, 1996, at a cost
of $28,081.26. It has 4-wheel drive, an automatic V-8 engine, and a
cargo area custom designed by department employees. It was also custom
striped by department employees. Car #12 is located at Central Fire
Station,

Rescue
#1 is a 2004 Emergency Vehicles, Inc. Heavy Rescue Unit. Purchased
for $272,300 and placed into service August 20th, 2004. This
unit carries equipment to assist firefighters in areas such as auto
extrication, minor hazmat situations, collapsed structures and other
heavy rescue emergencies. Rescue 1 is located at Central Fire Station,
433 S. Main Street

Ladder #1
is a 2006 Smeal 100' aerial platform mounted on a custom Spartan
Gladiator Classic chassis, with a Hale Qmax 2,250 gpm single stage pump
and dual Akron 1577 1,250 gpm electric monitors.
This aerial platform is powered by a Cummins ISM 500 engine and
an Allison 4000 EVP automatic transmission. Ladder 1 was purchased on
September 20, 2006 for $721,242 and after acceptance testing was placed
into service on October 10th, 2006.

Engine #3
is a 1994 Sutphen Quint accepted on February 14, 1994, at a cost of
$363,263.77. This engine has a 75-ft. aerial ladder, a 6-cylinder
Detroit Diesel engine with an Allison automatic transmission. It is
built on a Sutphen chassis with a 1500 GPM single-stage Hale pump and a
300 gallon booster tank. Engine #3 is located at Fire Station #3, 1199
N. West Street.

Engine #4
is a 1992 Sutphen Deluge Pumper accepted on April 15, 1992, at a cost of
$197,009.00. This pumper has a 6- cylinder Detroit Diesel engine with an
Allison automatic transmission. It is built on a Sutphen chassis with a
1,250 GPM Hale pump. It has a 190" wheelbase and a 500 gallon
booster tank. Engine #4 is located at Fire Station #4, 1440 W. Spring
Street.

Engine #5
is a 1992 Sutphen Deluge Pumper. It was accepted on April 15, 1992, at a
cost of $178,703.00. It has a Detroit Diesel 6V92 engine with an Allison
transmission. It is built on a Sutphen chassis with a 175"
wheelbase and has a 1,250 GPM Hale pump and a 500-gallon booster tank.
Engine #5 is located Fire Station #5, 1139 E. Elm Street.

Engine #6
is a 1985 Sutphen Custom Pumper. It was accepted on February 3, 1986, at
a cost of $129,820.00. It has a Detroit Diesel 6-cylinder engine with an
Allison HT-740 transmission. It was built on a Sutphen chassis with a
1,500 GPM Hale pump and a 500-gallon booster tank. Pumper #6 is located
at #6 Station, 700 E. Third.

Medic
1 is a 1997 Life Star Type II Wheeled Coach on a Ford
E-Super Duty Chassis. Purchased September 19, 2007 from the American
Township Fire Department and refurbished by Life Star Rescue, Medic 1
was placed into service on October 1, 2007 and is now being utilized as
a backup unit. Medic 1 is located at Central Fire Station, 433 S. Main
St.

Medic 2 is a 2010 McCoy-Miller Ambulance on a Ford E-450 XL chassis. It was
purchased from Burgess Hearse & Ambulance Sales, Inc., for $128,383
on November 30, 2009, received January 20, 2010 and placed into service
on February 3, 2010. Medic 2 carries advanced life support equipment and
takes over as the Lima Fire Department’s front line ambulance for
patient transports. Medic 2 is located at the Central Fire Station, 433
S. Main St.
