Services
The City of Lima maintains approximately 25,000 accounts for customers that primarily include all or some of the following services:
  • Water
  • Sewer
  • Refuse & Recycling

Customers are billed on a monthly basis for these services.

Payment Options
Utility bills can be paid by cash, check, money order, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) at the utility office.  You can also pay by debit/credit card online, or by calling 1-877-496-2466. Payments are due by the close of business on the due date of the bill or they will be considered “late”. At present time, our office located at 424 N Central is the only payment center authorized to accept water utility payments. We do have a night box located on the west side of the building for the convenience of our customer’s timely payment. We ask that you do not place cash in the night box.

The city also offers the opportunity for customers to have their bill drafted from their bank account. To set this up, the customer will need to fill out the Application for Automatic Withdrawal or see a customer service representative in the office.

Important Changes in Procedures for Utility Services 

To sign in for service, a Utility Service Contract must be filled out along with having a valid picture I.D. If you are a tenant or land contract purchaser, you will also be required to pay a $150.00 deposit, and a valid Owner Authorization Form must be submitted to us by the owner/landlord.
